Description

The Sweet Olive is a 2-light wall bracket built around hand-formed metal olive leaves in a gilded gold finish. Two curved arms rise from a circular backplate, each terminating in a candle-style E14 socket set within a shallow drip tray ringed by smaller leaf forms. A decorative olive branch crowns the fitting, while a crystal medallion hangs below the backplate as a central accent.

Designed for hallways, dining rooms and traditional living spaces, the Sweet Olive provides ambient uplighting through two E14 bulbs (sold separately). The 432mm width suits wall sections between doorways, above console tables, or flanking mirrors and artwork. The 114mm projection keeps the fitting clear of picture rails and furniture backs while the curved arms direct light upwards and outwards to wash the wall above.

The gilded gold finish is hand-patinated onto metal leaf forms and the resin backplate, creating tonal variation across the surface that shifts under different lighting conditions. The crystal medallion catches both natural and artificial light, adding a reflective accent below the main structure. Each olive leaf is individually shaped and attached, giving the fitting a handcrafted rather than mass-produced appearance.

What bulbs does it take?

The Sweet Olive takes two E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a traditional candle-like glow.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

The 559mm height means the fitting works best on walls with at least 600-700mm of clear space above the intended mounting point. In rooms with ceilings below 2.4m, position the bracket lower on the wall to maintain proportion.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The Sweet Olive carries no IP rating and is not rated for bathroom use, particularly not within zones 1 or 2 where moisture contact is possible. It is designed for dry interior spaces only.

How is the gilded finish maintained?

The hand-patinated gilded gold finish should be dusted with a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners, polishes or damp cloths, as these can alter the patina and remove the hand-applied tonal variation that gives the finish its character.
