Sonoma Valley 1 Light Wall Light - Cream Glass & Bronze

The Sonoma Valley is a single-arm wall light combining a fluted cream scavo glass shade with cast bronze scrollwork on the backplate and arm. The backplate carries embossed foliate detailing on a 152mm-wide oval mount, and the curved arm extends 229mm from the wall, holding the glass shade in a decorative bronze cup. The shade houses a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for hallways, living room feature walls, bedroom bedside positions and dining room alcoves where traditional styling is preferred, the fitting provides directed uplighting through the cream glass shade while the scrollwork casts decorative shadows on adjacent walls. The 457mm fitting height and 229mm projection suit alcoves, chimney breasts and corridor walls where the light needs to clear furniture without protruding too far into the walkway. The E27 socket accepts standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs, giving control over light temperature and output.

The cream scavo glass has a textured surface that diffuses the bulb filament when viewed from below, softening glare in narrow spaces. The bronze finish on the metalwork shows subtle gold undertones through a darker patina, consistent with French provincial and European country interior styles. What bulb does it take?

The fitting takes a standard E27 Edison screw bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K for traditional interiors, or a vintage-style filament bulb where the bulb will be visible from below.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The fitting carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor use only. It is not suitable for bathroom zones where moisture or direct water spray is present.

How is it fitted to the wall?

The oval backplate mounts to a standard UK wall box or fixing plate using two screws. The decorative backplate then covers the fixings. The arm and shade are factory-assembled and cannot be removed without dismantling the fitting.
