Description
The Sedgehurst small table lamp is 450mm tall with a 300mm multicoloured Tiffany-style leaded glass shade on a metal base. Unusually for a lamp this size it takes two bulbs, 40W E14 candle each, so the shade lights evenly rather than from a single point; bulbs are supplied separately. Panels are cut individually and joined with lead, which puts the colour in the glass and keeps the pattern visible when the lamp is off. At 2.2kg it sits steady without being heavy to move. It is Class 1 with an earthed lead.
Small table lamps are the most useful lamps in a house. At 450mm tall with a 300mm shade the Sedgehurst fits a bedside cabinet, a hall table, a desk corner or a shelf, and the twin candle bulbs give it more light than most lamps of this footprint. A pair either end of a sideboard balances a long wall; one beside a bed gives a warm level for the end of the evening. It suits period rooms, cottages and anywhere a large shade would crowd the surface.
The base and hardware are metal, the shade is leaded glass, and the two are joined so the glass carries no weight. Lift the lamp by its base. Dust with a dry soft cloth, then a barely damp cloth for marks, drying immediately so the lead does not sit wet. Keep solvents, polishes and abrasive creams off the glass. It is not a dimmable lamp, so choose bulb output accordingly. Sedgehurst pendant and floor lamp options use the same glass if you want the pattern at other heights.

Frequently Asked
Why two bulbs on a small lamp?
Two 40W E14 candle bulbs light a 300mm shade more evenly than one, and together they give more output than most lamps of this footprint.
What is the shade made of?
Multicoloured leaded glass in the Tiffany style, cut into panels and joined with lead, on a metal base and frame.
How big is it?
450mm tall with a 300mm shade, which suits a bedside cabinet, hall table, desk corner or shelf without taking over the surface.
Can it be dimmed?
No, this is not a dimming fitting. Set the level by choosing the output of the two candle bulbs.
How do I clean it?
Dust with a dry soft cloth and use a barely damp cloth on marks, drying straight after. Avoid solvents, polishes and abrasive creams.
