Description

Aluminium, steel, MDF and ABS come together in our Santé Table Lamp, finished in brushed steel that catches the light with a soft, low sheen. The stand is designed around a slim stem that rises from a flat round base, and we fitted it here with a slatted shade so you can see how the whole thing reads on a shelf or across a room. At 42cm tall and 22cm across the base, it holds a steady footprint without crowding the surface it sits on, and at 1.7kg it stays put once you have set it down.

The detail we are proudest of is tucked into the base: a hidden integral USB port that lets you charge a phone or a set of earbuds beside the lamp, so a bedside table or a desk can do two jobs from one point. The stand takes an E27 fitting and comes ready for an E27 bulb, with a maximum 15W LED that you supply to suit the warmth and brightness you want. We have kept the wiring and the switch simple, and the brushed steel carries through the stem to the base for a consistent look from top to bottom.

Assembly runs to around 10 to 15 minutes, so you can have it working the same evening it arrives. The lamp is marked to UKCA, cETLus, IP2X and the CE standard for indoor use, which means we intend it for rooms inside the home rather than any covered outdoor spot.
