Description
The QTX Q600 is a stereo power amplifier built to work hard in venues, for DJs and for performers who need steady, accurate sound. It puts out 2 x 300W across two channels, so it has the headroom to drive a pair of passive speakers without running out of steam. We think of it as a workhorse: something you rack up, wire in and rely on session after session.
Connections are the strong point here. Inputs come as either 6.3mm jack or RCA, so you can feed it from a mixer, DJ deck or most line-level sources without hunting for adaptors. On the output side you get SPK connectors, 6.3mm jack and 4mm binding posts (also called banana posts), which covers just about any speaker cable or lead you are likely to already own. Fan cooling keeps the internal temperature in check during long runs, and the frequency response spans 20Hz to 20kHz with THD under 0.5% and a signal to noise ratio better than 98dB.
The Q600 fits a standard 19" rack and takes up 2U of height, so it slots neatly into a flightcase or fixed install rack alongside the rest of your gear. Input sensitivity is 775mV at 10k Ohms, and it runs from a 230Vac 50Hz mains supply via an IEC connector. If you want a plain, dependable amp with plenty of connection choices and enough power for a working setup, this one earns its place.
