Description
The QTX PartyPod is a portable Bluetooth speaker built to travel. It pairs with your phone or tablet over Bluetooth 5.0, and the splashproof design carries an IPX4 rating, so a bit of rain or the odd splash by the pool won't stop the music. A handy carry strap makes it easy to take from room to room or out into the garden, and the internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery gives you up to 6 hours of playback from a single charge. Charging takes up to 4 hours from flat via the USB Type-C input.
Sound comes from a twin speaker design running 2x 8W through two 52mm drivers, with a frequency response of 20Hz to 16KHz for deep bass and clear treble. Beyond Bluetooth, you can play MP3 files directly from the inbuilt USB and Micro SD (TF card) ports, and there's a built-in FM radio when you fancy a change. A microphone handles hands-free phone calls, and the True Wireless Stereo (TWS) function lets you link a second unit for wider stereo sound across a room.
The front grille houses a dual LED colour light show with RGB effects, adding a bit of movement to the room without any extra kit. The rugged casing measures 240 x 94 x 94mm and weighs 840g, so it slots easily into a bag. An auto power off feature kicks in when the speaker isn't in use, helping to save battery between sessions. It's a practical all-in-one for the garden, a picnic or a small get-together, with the features you'd want and none of the fuss.
