Description

This is our QTX Essential guitar lead, a fully shielded cable built for guitars, instruments and general audio work where you need a clean unbalanced signal. It runs 3.0 metres, which gives you room to move around on stage or reach across a room to your amp without pulling anything tight. The shielding helps keep interference out of the signal, so you get a steady sound from your instrument through to your amplifier or interface.

We have finished the cable with a soft-grip, rubberised jacket that resists tangling, so it coils away neatly at the end of a session and stays manageable when you pull it out of a bag. The connections are machine-soldered for consistency, and each end carries a professional die-cast 6.3mm mono jack plug. In the US these are often called quarter-inch jacks, and they fit the standard sockets you will find on guitars, amps and audio gear.

Inside, the cable measures 6.0mm in diameter and uses a 7-strand conductor at 0.16mm per strand, which keeps it flexible without feeling flimsy. Both plugs are the same 6.3mm mono type, so you can run it in either direction between instrument and amp. It is a practical, no-nonsense lead for rehearsals, gigs and home recording, and a sensible spare to keep in your case.
