Description

This is a compact passive crossover network built as a replacement part for full-range 8 Ohm passive speaker cabinets. It handles a nominal 250W of power and splits the signal at a crossover frequency of 4kHz, sending the right frequencies to the drivers in a two-way cabinet. A crossover like this sits inside the speaker, so it does its work without any external power or setup.

We designed it to fit the QTX QS15A (178.569UK) and QR8A (178.202) cabinets, making it a straightforward swap if the original board has failed or been damaged. At 25 x 115 x 65mm and just 51g, it takes up very little room and mounts easily inside most compact cabinet enclosures. The 8 Ohm impedance matches the cabinets it is intended for, so you can drop it in without recalculating your amplifier load.

A passive crossover (sometimes called a crossover network) works from the amplifier signal already reaching the speaker, so there is nothing to wire to the mains and no batteries to think about. If you run QTX passive cabinets and one has gone quiet or is passing full-range signal to the wrong driver, this part gets you back up and running.
