Description

The QTX Busker-15 is a complete portable PA system built into a sturdy cabinet with a front-mounted control panel. The built-in amplifier runs from the mains or an internal rechargeable battery, driving a main loudspeaker and a compression horn unit. That means you can use it plugged in or take it well away from a socket, which suits buskers, event hosts and anyone presenting outdoors. The internal battery gives you up to 6 hours of use and takes around 8 hours to recharge.

Two VHF handheld microphones (radio mics) are supplied, so you can start speaking or singing straight away, and there are two further wired mic inputs at the rear alongside an auxiliary line input and a musical instrument input for a guitar. A B/T (Bluetooth) wireless receiver lets you pair a phone or tablet, and the integral USB/SD/FM media player handles playback from a memory stick, card or radio. An echo effect and a switchable voice-over function help your speech sit above any background music.

Moving the Busker-15 is straightforward thanks to integral carry handles, a retractable trolley handle and rear wheels. A 35mm pole mount socket lets you raise it on a speaker stand when you need more coverage. Rear panel controls cover guitar volume, echo, wired mic volume, bass, treble and master, while the front panel handles VHF mic volume, media volume and media transport. It ships with a UK IEC power lead so you are ready to go on arrival.

How many microphones are included?

Two VHF handheld microphones (radio mics) come with the Busker-15. There are also two wired mic inputs at the rear for adding your own microphones.

Can I run it without mains power?

Yes. The internal rechargeable battery gives up to 6 hours of use. A full recharge takes around 8 hours, and you can also run it from the mains or 12Vdc.

What audio sources can I play through it?

The integral USB/SD/FM media player handles memory sticks, SD cards and FM radio. You can also pair a phone or tablet over B/T wireless, or use the aux, guitar and wired mic inputs.

Can I mount it on a speaker stand?

Yes. It has a 35mm pole mount socket, so it fits standard speaker stands when you want to raise the sound for wider coverage.

Is it easy to move around?

Yes. It has integral carry handles plus a retractable trolley handle and rear wheels, so you can wheel it like a case rather than carry the full weight.

Does it help speech cut through background music?
