Pentleigh Medium Tiffany Pendant - Multicoloured

The Pentleigh medium pendant carries a 400mm multicoloured Tiffany-style leaded glass shade on a metal suspension, with a drop that adjusts from 550mm to 1390mm. One 60W E27 GLS bulb lights it, and bulbs are supplied separately so the warmth is your choice. The shade is assembled from small cut panels held in lead, so the colour is in the glass rather than printed on it, and the pattern still reads when the light is off. It weighs 2.5kg and is Class 2, double insulated, so it does not need an earth at the ceiling rose.

This is the everyday size: big enough to be the main ceiling light in a medium room, small enough not to loom. It hangs well over a round dining table, a breakfast bar or a hall, and the long adjustment range means it also works on a stairwell where you need the shade to drop into the void. Over a table, leave roughly 750mm to 900mm above the surface. A single bulb gives ambient light, so keep lamps or downlights for reading and food preparation.

Metal frame, leaded glass shade, and a suspension that can be shortened at installation to set the height. Dust the glass with a dry soft cloth and use a barely damp cloth for marks, drying the lead lines straight after. Avoid solvents, ammonia-based sprays and abrasive creams, all of which dull lead over time. The fitting is rated IP20, so keep it to dry indoor rooms.
