Description

The NU-X Stageman II AC-80 is a portable amplifier and vocal PA built for acoustic guitarists. It runs from mains power or its internal rechargeable battery, so you can play at home, on stage or outdoors without needing a socket nearby. An 80W amplifier drives a custom 6.5" woofer paired with a 1" dome tweeter, giving a full-range output that stays clear across the frequency range. The angled cabinet points the sound up towards you and your audience.

Two independent channels handle a guitar and a microphone, with controls set into the top panel for easy access. Each channel has its own gain, three-band EQ, effects and reverb, so you can shape both the guitar and vocals separately. Deeper settings, including eight Impulse Response profiles and twelve internal effects, are reached through the free Stageman app for iOS or Android over Bluetooth. Bluetooth also streams backing tracks straight to the amp so you can play along.

A built-in 60-second looper and drum machine can be edited in the app and triggered from foot switches (foot pedals) connected at the rear. The back panel also carries an aux input, a send/return loop, a line output and a DI output, plus a USB port for firmware updates. The 5000mAh battery gives up to four hours of use and recharges in around six hours. At 9.87kg it stays light enough to carry to a gig, and the mains adaptor is included in the box.

How long does the battery last?

The internal 5000mAh Li-ion battery gives up to four hours of playing time and recharges in about six hours at 1A. Output drops to 40W on battery and reaches the full 80W on mains power.

Can I use a microphone as well as a guitar?

Yes. There are two independent channels, one for guitar and one for microphone, each with its own gain, three-band EQ, effects and reverb controls on the top panel.

What does the Stageman app do?

The free app for iOS or Android connects over Bluetooth and lets you access eight Impulse Response profiles, edit the twelve internal effects, and set up the looper and drum machine.

Can I stream backing tracks to it?

Yes. With the latest firmware, Bluetooth audio streaming lets you play tracks through the amp to perform along with. Keep the firmware updated at nuxefx.com.

What outputs does it have for larger venues?

The rear panel includes a line output and a DI output, so you can feed the signal to a mixer or house PA system when you need more coverage.

Is the mains adaptor included?

Yes. A 28Vdc 4A adaptor is supplied in the box for mains operation and charging the internal battery.
