Description
The NU-X Reissue Analog Chorus is a vintage-style modulation pedal for guitar or bass. It uses pure analog bucket-brigade circuitry with BBD chips to produce a warm chorus tone, giving the impression of several instruments playing in unison with a slight detuning to broaden the sound. If you grew up on the classic guitar tracks of the 1980s, this is the sort of ringing, shimmering effect you'll recognise straight away, and it still holds up well today.
Three controls keep things simple: Width sets how deep the modulation goes, Speed adjusts the rate of the wobble, and Blend mixes the effected signal against your dry tone. Between them you can dial in anything from a gentle thickening to a heavy, seasick warble. True bypass hardware switching means the pedal is fully out of the signal path when it's off, so your tone stays clean when you don't need the effect. We think it makes a good starting point for anyone new to chorus, and it holds its own for experienced analog players too.
The pedal runs on a 9V PP3 battery (supplied) or an optional 9Vdc 300mA regulated power supply, which isn't included. It measures 121 x 77 x 48mm and weighs 230g, so it won't take up much space on your pedalboard (US: pedal board). Input impedance is 1M Ohm and output impedance is 10k Ohm, keeping it compatible with the rest of your rig. It's a straightforward, honest bit of kit that does one job and does it well.

Frequently Asked
Does this pedal use true analog circuitry?
Yes. It uses pure analog bucket-brigade circuitry with BBD chips rather than digital modelling, which is where the warm tone comes from.
Can I use it with a bass guitar?
Yes. The Reissue Analog Chorus is designed for both guitar and bass.
How do I power the pedal?
It runs on the supplied 9V PP3 battery, or you can use an optional 9Vdc 300mA regulated power supply. The power supply is not included.
What do the three controls do?
Width sets the depth of the modulation, Speed adjusts the rate, and Blend mixes the wet effect against your dry signal.
Does it have true bypass?
Yes. It uses true bypass hardware switching, so the pedal is out of your signal path when switched off.
What size is the pedal?
It measures 121 x 77 x 48mm and weighs 230g, so it fits neatly onto most pedalboards.
