The NU-X NAP-5 Stageman Floor is an analogue acoustic preamp with built-in digital effects and a looper, made for players who want one box to handle their sound on stage or in the studio. At its core sits a high headroom gain stage with a sensitive 3-band EQ, a MID scoop toggle switch and an input gain control, so you can shape your acoustic tone without fuss. A switchable response setting lets you match the preamp to piezo or magnetic pickups.

Feedback is a common problem for amplified acoustic guitars, so we like that the NAP-5 includes an adjustable notch filter to help you tame those troublesome frequencies before they take over the room. On the effects side you get multi-functional chorus and reverb, giving you a bit of space and movement without needing extra pedals. The 60 second looper runs across both footswitches and covers overdub and freeze functions, which is handy for building parts or holding a drone under a solo.

Connections are well covered for live and recording use. There's a jack (phone jack) output to your amp and a balanced XLR DI output for the desk or interface, plus a TRS insert for running external processors. A 3.5mm line level aux input lets you play along with backing tracks, and a 3.5mm headphones output is there for quiet practice. The USB port handles firmware updates.
