Description
The NU-X NAI-24 is a two-channel USB audio interface built for home and project studios that want clean, professional recordings without the outlay of a commercial setup. It runs over USB 2.0 and is bus powered through the supplied USB-C cable, so there is no separate power supply to worry about. Inside you will find studio grade audio transformers for noise-free signal isolation, discrete class-A preamps for a clean signal path, and AKM AD/DA conversion chips that digitise your sound accurately with minimal latency. Sampling runs up to 192kHz at 32-bit.
Both mic/line inputs include a pure FET 76-style compressor with selectable preset modes, giving you that familiar analogue compression on the way in. A front-mounted HI-Z input takes a guitar or other instrument directly through input 1, and 48V phantom power (also called phantom voltage) is switchable to either input for condenser microphones. Routing is flexible too, with two independent sets of speakers or headphones so you can monitor the signal directly or after processing. Dynamic range is quoted at 114dB on mic/line and 112dB on HI-Z and line out.
Each NAI-24 ships with a download code for a licensed copy of Cubase 13 LE, so you can start recording straight away on either a PC or Mac. The unit measures 194 x 128 x 67mm and weighs 722g, making it easy to sit on a desk within reach. Input impedance covers 2.4k for mic, 21k for line and 1M for Hi-Z, with THD+N of 0.003% at -1dBFS at minimum gain. It is a practical, well specified interface for anyone building a capable studio around a computer.

Frequently Asked
Does the NAI-24 need a separate power supply?
No. It is USB-C bus powered at 5Vdc, and the USB-C cable is supplied in the box.
How many inputs does it have?
Two mic/line inputs, each with its own 76-style FET compressor, plus a front-mounted HI-Z instrument input through channel 1.
Can I connect a guitar directly?
Yes. The front HI-Z input handles a guitar or other instrument directly through input 1 without a separate DI box.
What recording software is included?
A download code for a licensed copy of Cubase 13 LE, which works with both PC and Mac.
What sample rate and bit depth does it support?
It records up to 192kHz at 32-bit over a USB 2.0 connection.
Does it provide phantom power for condenser mics?
Yes. +48V phantom power is switchable independently to inputs 1 and 2.
