Description

The NU-X MIAB is part of the Reissue Series, an all-analog amp simulator pedal built for guitar or bass. It delivers a high gain distortion based on a hot-rodded British valve amp, giving you classic crunch and plenty of weight behind heavy power chords. If you want the sound of a driven British stack without hauling a full rig around, this is where it fits.

Four controls put the tone in your hands. Preamp sets how hard you push the gain, while Master handles the overall level. Tone and Presence closely mimic the same sculpting controls you'd find on the classic amplifiers this pedal is based on, so you can dial back harshness or add bite to cut through a mix. The all-analog circuitry keeps the signal path clean, and true bypass hardware switching means the pedal is fully out of your chain when it's off, with no tone loss when you're not using it.

This is a straightforward pedal aimed at rock and metal players who want that big British stack character on demand. It runs on a supplied 9V PP3 battery, or you can use an optional 9Vdc 300mA regulated power supply (not included). Input impedance is 1M Ohm and output impedance is 10k Ohm. The housing measures 121 x 77 x 48mm and weighs 230g, so it sits neatly on a pedalboard alongside the rest of your setup.

Frequently Asked

Can I use this pedal with bass as well as guitar?

Yes. The MIAB is designed to work with both guitar and bass, though its voicing is aimed at classic crunch and high gain distortion for rock and metal styles.

Does the pedal come with a power supply?

It ships with a 9V PP3 battery. A 9Vdc 300mA regulated power supply is optional and not supplied, so you'll need to buy one separately if you prefer mains power.

What does true bypass mean here?

True bypass uses hardware switching to take the pedal completely out of your signal path when it's off, so it doesn't colour or reduce your tone when disengaged.

What do the Tone and Presence controls do?

They mimic the tone-sculpting controls found on the classic amps this pedal is based on. Tone shapes the overall balance, while Presence adjusts the high-end bite and cut.

Is the circuitry digital or analog?

The MIAB uses all-analog circuitry throughout, which keeps the signal path pure from input to output.

How big is the pedal?

It measures 121 x 77 x 48mm and weighs 230g, making it easy to fit onto a standard pedalboard.
