The NU-X DIAB Steel Singer is a Reissue series drive pedal built for guitar or bass. It simulates a high end boutique tube amplifier, giving you a transparent, mild to medium driven gain that plenty of well known players have leaned on over the years. Whether you play blues, pop or rock, it covers the ground from a subtle push to a smoothly overdriven tone without losing the character of your instrument.

Under the hood you get pure analog amplifier simulation and all analog circuitry, so the signal path stays clean and honest. The controls are kept simple: Volume, Gain and a single Filter dial that acts as an intuitive EQ adjustment. That one filter control means you can shape the top end quickly without wading through a bank of knobs, which is handy when you want a usable sound in seconds. True bypass hardware switching keeps the pedal out of your chain when it is not engaged.

The pedal runs on a supplied 9V PP3 battery, or you can use an optional 9Vdc 300mA regulated power supply (not supplied) if you prefer to keep it running from your board. Input impedance is 1M Ohm and output impedance is 10k Ohm. It measures 121 x 77 x 48mm and weighs 230g, so it sits neatly on a pedalboard (stompbox to some players) without taking up much room. If you want a boutique style drive that stays true to your playing, the Steel Singer is a straightforward choice.

Yes. The Reissue series drive pedal is designed for guitar or bass, so it works with either instrument.

Does it need a power supply, or will a battery do?

It comes with a 9V PP3 battery. You can also run it from an optional 9Vdc 300mA regulated power supply, which is not supplied.

What controls does the pedal have?

There are three dials: Volume, Gain and Filter, plus a foot switch. The Filter acts as a single EQ adjustment for shaping your tone.
