Description
The NU-X B-7PSM is a wireless personal monitoring system for driving stereo in-ear monitors or headphones with an impedance of 16 to 32 Ohms. The set pairs an ultra-compact transmitter, which has an integral 3.5mm plug, with a clip-on receiver that carries a 3.5mm stereo output jack. Controls are kept simple: a pairing button and volume up and down buttons on the receiver. It runs on the license-free 5.8GHz digital band with auto-carrier detection and auto-pairing on power-up, so setup is quick and you can get on with playing.
Audio runs across a 20Hz to 19kHz frequency response with a 92dB dynamic range and THD below 0.6% at 1kHz, using a 24-bit, 40kHz sampling format. Latency stays under 5.5ms, which keeps monitoring tight for live work. Output level is adjustable from -64dB to 0dB in 0.5dB steps, with maximum output power of 57mWrms into 16 Ohms at 1kHz. Range is around 30m in open air with no obstruction, dropping to about 10m where obstructions get in the way.
The set is supplied in a charging case with an inbuilt 3000mAh power bank that tops up both the transmitter and receiver, so the units stay ready between sessions. The transmitter and receiver each hold a 3.7V 450mAh Li-ion cell for roughly four hours of runtime on a full charge, recharging in about 1.5 hours. The case itself takes around four hours to fill. Each unit measures 60 x 36 x 25mm and weighs 32g, while the case is 114 x 70 x 32mm and 130g. It suits musicians, stage performers and broadcasters who want reliable monitoring with freedom to move.

Frequently Asked
What headphone impedance does the B-7PSM support?
It is designed for earphones or headphones with an impedance of 16 to 32 Ohms, connected via the 3.5mm stereo output jack on the receiver.
Does it need a license to use?
No. The system operates on the license-free 5.8GHz digital band, so you can use it without registering a frequency.
How long does a charge last?
The transmitter and receiver each give around four hours of runtime on a full charge. The supplied case has a 3000mAh power bank to recharge both units between sessions.
What is the operating range?
Around 30m in open air with no obstruction, dropping to about 10m in open air where obstructions are present.
How much latency is there?
Latency is under 5.5ms, which keeps in-ear monitoring in step with the live performance.
How do I pair the transmitter and receiver?
The system uses auto-carrier detection and auto-pairing on power-up, so the two units connect on their own when you switch them on.
