Description

The NU-X B-5RC is a 2.4GHz digital wireless system that frees you from the guitar cable. It works with all types of electric guitars, electro-acoustic guitars, bass guitars and ukuleles, and handles both active and passive pickups as well as piezo or magnetic types. Operation is licence free worldwide, so there are no fees or paperwork to worry about wherever you play.

Setup is genuinely simple. The transmitter and receiver auto-pair for instant connection, and both fit straight into the 6.3mm jack sockets with no extra leads. You get 24-bit audio at a 44.1kHz sampling rate, low latency under 5ms and a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz. The signal holds steady for distances up to 30m line of sight, and up to four sets can run at the same time on the same stage. THD+N sits below 0.05%, so your tone stays clean.

Both units are rechargeable from a 5V USB source via micro-USB, with a battery operation time of around 3.5 hours per charge. The included Power Case, sometimes called a charging case, holds a 4000mAh pack and tops the transmitter and receiver back up to three times, which makes it easy to keep playing through longer sessions or away from mains power. Each unit weighs just 34g and measures 107 x 29 x 21mm, so there is little added weight on the strap. An auto power off drops the system into sleep mode after 10 minutes with no audio to save charge.
