Description

The NU-X B-10 Vlog is a compact wireless microphone system built around a USB-rechargeable transmitter and receiver. It operates on the license-free 2.4GHz band with intelligent frequency-hopping technology, which keeps the wireless connection stable and clear. The transmitter carries an integral omni-directional electret condenser microphone and clips straight onto clothing for use as a lavalier (also called a lapel) mic. If you prefer to use a different microphone, there's a 3.5mm input on the transmitter for that too.

The receiver has its own spring clip and comes with a cold-shoe camera mount, so you can fix it directly to a camera or a photographic stand. An OLED display on the top shows charge and signal status at a glance, and the 3.5mm output jack feeds headphones or the audio input on a camera or smartphone. In the box you get 3.5mm connection leads for cameras and phones, the cold-shoe mount, a fur-style windshield to cut wind noise, and a compact carry case to keep everything together. Up to six sets can run at the same time, which is handy for multi-person shoots.

Audio is captured at 24-bit, 44.1kHz with a 50Hz to 20kHz frequency response and latency under 5ms, so speech stays in sync with your video. The wireless range reaches up to 30m, and both units charge over USB Type-C at 5Vdc. Battery life runs to around four hours for the transmitter and six hours for the receiver, with each unit powered by a 3.7V 400mAh Li-ion cell. Each transmitter and receiver measures 51 x 42 x 13mm and weighs 28g, so they sit unobtrusively on clothing or a camera.
