Description

The Mercury OT20A is an outdoor amplified HDTV aerial (or antenna, as it's known in the US) made for caravans, campers and boats. It picks up Digital Terrestrial TV as well as DAB and FM radio, so you can use one unit for both television and radio when you're away from home. The unidirectional design and built-in high gain amplifier help give you a clear picture even where reception is weak.

You get everything needed to fit it in one box: mounting materials, a 6m connection cable and the power supply. The aerial clamps onto a pole up to 38mm in diameter, and the built-in splitter lets you run a second TV or radio set from the same aerial. Power runs from either 230Vac mains or 12Vdc, which suits both mains hook-up and 12V vehicle or marine systems.

An integrated LTE filter keeps 4G and 5G mobile signals from causing interference, a common problem for aerials near urban areas or busy roads. The frequency coverage spans UHF from 470 to 694MHz and VHF from 40 to 230MHz, with 20dB of gain on both bands and a 75 ohm impedance. At 1.5kg and 260 x 334 x 80mm, it's compact enough for a roof or mast mount without adding much weight. Maximum loss is rated at 2dB, with an output level up to 100dBµV.
