Description
This LYYT Frosted NW LED tape gives you 30 metres of continuous COB (chip on board) lighting on a single reel. The domed, frosted silicone extrusion spreads the light into a smooth line without the dots you often see on standard strips, and it does this without needing a separate profile or channel. At just 10mm wide and 4.5mm high, it stays neat in tight spaces, and the adhesive backing lets you fix it straight to a clean surface.
It runs on 24V DC and draws 11W per metre, with a natural white output at 4000K. We'd suggest a maximum run of 10m from a single power supply, so plan your feeds accordingly on longer installs. The tape (or ribbon, as it is sometimes called) can be cut to length at 50mm intervals, with the cut marks sitting under the adhesive layer. The IP66 rating means it handles dust and water jets, so it suits both indoor and outdoor jobs, from kitchen plinths to sheltered exterior detailing.
The 110° beam angle throws a wide, even wash of light, and the working range of -40°C to +55°C covers most UK conditions comfortably. This is the Natural White version, though the same tape is offered in Warm White (2700K) and Cool White (5000K) if you need a different tone. Installation accessories such as connectors and power supplies are sold separately, so you can match them to your project.

Frequently Asked
Do I need a separate profile or channel?
No. The domed frosted extrusion gives a smooth, even line of light on its own, so you can fix it directly to a surface using the adhesive backing without a profile.
How long a run can I power from one supply?
We recommend a maximum run of 10m from a single power supply. For the full 30m reel you'll need to plan multiple feeds to keep brightness even along the length.
Can I cut the tape to length?
Yes. It can be cut at 50mm intervals. The cut marks are printed under the adhesive layer, so check the backing to find them before cutting.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. With an IP66 rating it resists dust and water jets, making it suitable for sheltered outdoor use as well as indoor installations.
What colour temperature is the Natural White version?
The Natural White (NW) tape runs at 4000K. Warm White (2700K) and Cool White (5000K) versions are also available.
Are power supplies and connectors included?
No. Installation accessories such as power supplies and connectors are sold separately so you can match them to the length and layout of your project.
