Description

This LYYT Frosted CW LED tape gives you 30 metres of continuous cool white light on a single reel. It uses COB (chip on board) technology under a domed frosted silicone extrusion, so the light reads as a smooth line rather than a row of dots. There's no need for a separate aluminium profile to hide the diodes, which keeps the fitting simple and the finish clean.

The tape measures 10mm wide and 4.5mm high, and it can be cut to length at 50mm intervals (the cut marks sit under the adhesive layer). It runs on 24V DC and draws 11W per metre, so plan your power supply around the run you need. We recommend a maximum run of 10m from a single supply to keep brightness even along the length. The adhesive backing lets you stick it straight to a clean surface, and installation accessories are available separately if you want connectors or mounting clips.

With an IP66 rating and a working range of -40°C to +55°C, this tape suits both indoor and outdoor jobs, from kitchen and shelf lighting to signage and exterior detailing. The cool white version runs at 5000K with a 110 degree beam angle. The same tape is offered in warm white (2700K) and natural white (4000K) if you need a different tone. Note that LED tape is sometimes called LED strip or LED ribbon; they refer to the same thing.

No. The domed frosted silicone extrusion gives a smooth finished look on its own, so you can fit it without a separate profile.

How long a run can I power from one supply?

We recommend a maximum run of 10m from a single power supply to keep the brightness even along the full length.

You can cut it at 50mm intervals. The cut marks are printed under the adhesive layer.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?
