Description

This LYYT kit gives you 5 metres of COB LED tape (also called LED strip) in warm white, along with a 24V power supply and UK adaptor. COB stands for chip-on-board, which packs the LEDs close together so you get an even line of light rather than the row of visible dots you see on older tape. There are 480 LEDs per metre, so the run looks continuous once it's switched on.

The tape has an easy-peel self-adhesive backing, so you can stick it straight to a clean, dry surface without extra clips or channels. You can cut it to size at 50mm intervals, which makes it straightforward to fit shelves, cabinets, coving or under-counter runs. The cross-section measures 8mm by 2.5mm, so it sits neatly in tight spaces and tucks out of sight. Everything you need to get started comes in the box, including the low-voltage 24Vdc supply.

Running at 24Vdc keeps the voltage low and safe to handle, and the tape draws 10.5W per metre. The supplied power supply gives a 24Vdc 60W 2.5A output from a 100-240Vac input, which suits UK mains. The tape is IP20 rated, so it's built for dry indoor use rather than damp areas like bathrooms or outdoors. For a full 5m run in one length, this kit covers most jobs without needing a second supply.
