Description
This LYYT COB RGB Smart LED tape gives you a smooth line of colour across a 5m reel. COB stands for chip on board, and here it packs 576 LEDs into every metre. Because the LEDs sit so close together, you get an even glow with no visible dots along the strip, which is one of the main reasons people choose COB over older spaced-out tape.
The tape runs on 24Vdc with a draw of around 667mA and 16W per metre, so power use stays low. It uses WS2811 RGB LEDs, which means each section can show its own colour when paired with a compatible Smart controller (sold separately), letting you run multiple colours along the same run at once. The strip is flexible, lightweight and comes with a self-adhesive backing, so you can press it into place without extra brackets. Cut it to length at the marked points every 62.5mm, and connect using the 3-pin male and 3-pin female fittings.
With a 120° beam angle, 558 lumens per metre and a colour rendering index of Ra>80, this tape suits accent and display work in hospitality, retail, offices, exhibitions and similar settings. The cross-section measures 10 x 3.3mm, so it slips into slim channels and tight edges. This is the IP20 version, which is rated for indoor use only, so keep it away from damp or outdoor spots. If you need to cover a longer area, the tape is easy to plan around the fixed cut intervals.

Frequently Asked
What does COB mean on this tape?
COB stands for chip on board. The LEDs are packed tightly together, 576 per metre here, so the light looks like a continuous line rather than a row of separate dots.
Can it show more than one colour at once?
Yes. It uses WS2811 RGB LEDs, so with a compatible Smart controller (sold separately) you can display multiple colours along the same run at the same time.
Is this tape suitable for outdoor use?
No. This is the IP20 version, which is rated for indoor use only. Keep it away from moisture and damp areas.
Can I cut the strip to length?
Yes. The tape can be cut at the marked points, spaced every 62.5mm along the 5m reel.
How is it fixed in place?
It has a self-adhesive backing, so you can press it directly onto a clean, dry surface. No brackets are needed for most installs.
What connectors does it use?
It features 3-pin male and 3-pin female connectors for joining sections and linking to a controller.
