Description
The LYYT 200 LED string lights provide 200 warm white concave LEDs spaced 50mm apart across a 10m lit section, with a 5m power lead running from the mains plug to the first LED giving a total 15m cable length. The LEDs run on 31V DC at 3.6W maximum consumption through an inline controller that offers eight pre-programmed modes including combined, waves, sequential, slow-glow, chasing, slow-fade, twinkle and static. The controller also features a 24-hour timer function that runs the lights for 8 hours then turns them off for 16 hours automatically when activated by holding the adapter button.
Designed for both indoor decoration and sheltered outdoor use, the string lights carry an IP44 rating on the LED section (protected against solid objects over 1mm and water splashing from any direction) while the controller is IP20 rated for indoor environments only. The dark green cable allows the lights to blend into foliage, hedges, trees and shrubs when used as garden or patio decoration. The low 3.6W power draw makes them viable for extended use during Christmas, weddings, parties or as permanent year-round ambient lighting without significant energy cost.
The concave-shaped LED heads distribute light in a broader pattern than standard bullet LEDs, giving more consistent coverage when wrapped around branches, draped along eaves or strung across walls. At 320g total weight including the controller, the lights are light enough to be supported by most outdoor structures without additional fixing. The 31V DC supply isolates the LED section from mains voltage, reducing shock risk during installation and maintenance.

Frequently Asked
Can these be used fully outdoors?
The LED string section is IP44 rated and can handle rain and splashing in outdoor locations. The controller is IP20 rated and must be kept indoors or in a sheltered waterproof enclosure. Do not submerge any part of the lights or leave the controller exposed to weather.
How does the 24-hour timer work?
Hold down the button on the adapter to activate the timer. Once activated, the lights will run for 8 hours then turn off for 16 hours automatically each day. To deactivate, hold the button again or unplug the lights.
What are the eight modes?
The controller cycles through combined, waves, sequential, slow-glow, chasing, slow-fade, twinkle and static modes via the mode button on the inline unit. Each press advances to the next mode.
Can multiple sets be connected together?
The specification does not indicate daisy-chain capability. Each set requires its own mains plug and controller. For longer runs, position multiple sets with overlapping end points or run separate power feeds.
