Description
The Larncombe small table lamp stands 490mm tall with a 310mm multicoloured Tiffany-style leaded glass shade on a metal base. A single 60W E27 GLS bulb lights it, supplied separately. The shade is cut into panels and joined with lead, so the colour comes from the glass itself and the pattern is there in daylight as well as under the bulb. At 2.1kg it is easy to move between rooms but still settled on a surface. It is a Class 2 fitting, double insulated, compact enough for a bedside table or a shelf.
Small is the useful size. At 490mm tall with a 310mm shade the Larncombe fits a bedside cabinet, a hall table, a desk corner or a windowsill, where a full-size lamp would crowd the surface. It gives an ambient warm light rather than task light, so beside a bed it works as a last light of the evening with a brighter reading light nearby. A pair either end of a sideboard balances a long wall, and one on its own does a lot for a dark corner of a landing.
Metal base, leaded glass shade, joined so the glass takes no weight. Lift it by the base rather than the shade. A dry soft cloth keeps the glass clear; for marks use a barely damp cloth and dry it straight after. Solvents, polishes and abrasive creams will dull the lead, so keep them away. It is not a dimmable fitting. If you want the same glass at other sizes, there are Larncombe mini and larger options, along with a floor lamp, pendant and wall light in the same range.

Frequently Asked
How big is it?
490mm tall with a 310mm shade, which is compact enough for a bedside cabinet, hall table or desk corner without crowding the surface.
What is the shade made of?
Multicoloured leaded glass in the Tiffany style, cut into panels and joined with lead, on a metal base.
Which bulb does it take?
One 60W E27 GLS bulb, not included. Choose a warm colour temperature so the glass reads as intended.
Is it bright enough for reading?
It gives a warm ambient light rather than task light. Beside a bed or a chair, pair it with a brighter reading light.
How do I clean it?
Dust with a dry soft cloth, then a barely damp cloth for marks and a dry one straight after. Avoid solvents, polishes and abrasive creams.
