Description

The Knightsbridge Torlan is a 5ft (1563mm) non-corrosive LED batten with integrated emergency lighting, a microwave sensor, and IP65 weatherproof rating. The housing is polycarbonate with stainless steel diffuser clips, delivering either 26W (4,045lm) or 48W (7,250lm) depending on the internal wattage switch setting. Colour temperature is also selectable via internal switches between 3000K, 4000K and 5700K.

Designed for commercial and industrial applications where high-output lighting and emergency backup are required in a single fitting, the Torlan suits warehouses, car parks, loading bays, sports halls, storage facilities and outdoor covered areas. The IP65 rating protects against dust ingress and water jets, while the IK08 impact rating provides resistance to physical knocks. The 3-hour emergency mode uses a LiFePO4 battery and provides 320lm output during mains failure in maintained, non-maintained or switched-maintained operation.

The integrated microwave sensor is fully adjustable for detection range and hold time, allowing the batten to dim or switch off when the space is unoccupied and return to full output on detection. The opal diffuser softens the LED output across a 140-degree beam angle, providing even distribution across wide bays. Surface mounting is standard; suspension mounting requires optional accessories. The 60,000-hour L70B50 lifespan reduces maintenance cycles in hard-to-access installations.

At 4000K and 48W the batten delivers 7,250lm at 167.5lm/W efficacy, making it one of the more efficient commercial battens available. The ability to select wattage and CCT on-site via internal switches means a single SKU can cover multiple lighting design scenarios without stocking separate variants for each combination.

The integrated LiFePO4 battery provides 3 hours of emergency lighting at 320lm output during mains failure. The emergency mode can be configured as maintained, non-maintained or switched-maintained depending on the application.
