Description

The Guildhall is a Georgian-style wall light built around a rectangular clear glass lantern encased in a polished nickel frame. Two E14 candle bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the glass chamber on vertical metal stems, mimicking the candle sconces of 18th-century interior lighting. A decorative pierced gallery band runs around the top of the lantern beneath a curved bracket that mounts to the wall.

Designed for hallways, staircases, and entrance areas where ceiling height allows for vertical fittings, the Guildhall suits both Georgian and Victorian properties and contemporary interiors where period detailing is used as accent. The 100mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting clear of doorframes and passageways while the 410mm height gives enough visual presence to balance a standard 2.4-2.7m ceiling without overwhelming narrower corridors.

The polished nickel finish provides a cooler, brighter metallic tone than brass or bronze, pairing well with modern neutrals, greys and whites while still reading as a period fitting. The clear glass panels on all four sides allow light to escape in multiple directions, providing both ambient and decorative function. The pierced gallery band at the top adds a textural detail that breaks up the reflective surface and gives depth to the design when viewed from below.
