Description

The Fellmoor mini table lamp is 315mm tall with a 150mm multicoloured Tiffany-style leaded glass shade on a metal base. One 40W E14 golf bulb lights it and bulbs are supplied separately. At this scale the leadwork is close together and the cut panels are small, so the pattern is dense and the colour concentrated. Lit, it reads as a small pool of warm colour; unlit, it still holds its pattern on the shelf. It weighs 1kg, lifts easily in one hand, and is a Class 2 fitting, double insulated.

Mini lamps go where nothing else fits. The Fellmoor takes almost no surface at 150mm across, which makes it right for a narrow bedside table, a bookcase shelf, a window ledge, a hall console or the corner of a desk. The 40W output is a low background level rather than reading light, so treat it as one layer among several. Two along a shelf or a mantel give a room a warm base in the evening, and one on a landing is enough to see by at night.

The base is metal and the shade is leaded glass, held so the panels take no load. Dust with a dry soft cloth, and where marks need more use a barely damp cloth and dry it straight after, keeping the lead lines from sitting wet. Solvents and abrasive creams will dull leadwork, so keep them away. This lamp is not dimmable. Its small scale makes it easy to place alongside larger lamps in the same room without the pattern competing, which is how coloured glass usually works best.
