The Draywick large pendant sets a hammered clear glass shade against bright nickel, so the dimpled surface breaks the light into small moving highlights as you walk past. The shade measures 250mm across with a drop adjusting from 570mm to 1675mm, a long range that suits islands, tables and stair voids. One E27 screw fit lamp rated at 10W lights it, and the hammered texture takes the hard edge off a visible lamp while keeping the shade bright, so a filament style LED still looks good inside. On a compatible dimmer switch with a dimmable lamp it dims down easily.

Hammered glass gives more life than plain glass at the same size, which makes this a good single ceiling light over a hall table or beside a bed, and a good pair or trio over a kitchen island. The texture scatters light onto nearby walls and ceiling, so the room feels brighter than the wattage suggests, and it hides fingerprints and dust better than a smooth clear shade. Bright nickel sits comfortably with chrome taps, stainless appliances and cooler paint colours, which makes it straightforward to match to a kitchen already fitted out.

The shade is hammered clear glass and the metalwork and ceiling plate are finished in bright nickel. To care for it, switch off at the wall, let the lamp cool, then dust the glass with a soft dry cloth, working over the dimples, and wipe the nickel with a barely damp cloth before drying it to avoid water marks.
