Crown 6 Light Chandelier - Graphite

The Crown is a 6-light chandelier built around a central hexagonal column with six arms extending from a decorative fretwork band, finished in hand-painted graphite. Each arm holds a single E14 candle bulb (sold separately) on a drip tray, with the arms terminating in pointed finials below the fretwork ring. The hexagonal tubing and pierced metalwork give the fitting a Gothic-revival character.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights between 2.5m and 3.5m, the chandelier has a 721mm diameter spread and a body height of 457mm. The chain allows a minimum drop of 559mm (total height from ceiling to lowest point approximately 1m) and extends to a maximum of 2083mm for taller spaces. The compact body height makes it suitable for rooms with lower ceilings where a traditional tall chandelier would overpower the space.

The graphite finish is applied by hand in multiple layers, creating a water-droplet texture across the metalwork that catches light differently depending on viewing angle. This textured finish gives the graphite a depth that flat-painted metal lacks, and softens the industrial tone of the dark grey into something closer to aged pewter. The pierced fretwork band forms a repeating geometric pattern around the central column, adding visual weight without blocking light transmission from the bulbs above.

What bulbs does the Crown chandelier take?

The fitting takes six E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, sold separately. Maximum wattage per bulb is 60W, though most users pair this with 4-6W LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for a soft ambient light that suits the traditional character of the fitting.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 559mm plus the 457mm body height gives a total of approximately 1m from ceiling to lowest point. This works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.5m upwards. For dining tables the chandelier typically hangs 700-850mm above the table surface, requiring a ceiling height of at least 2.7m when accounting for table height.

Is the chain adjustable on installation?

Yes. The chain can be shortened during installation to set the drop anywhere between 559mm and 2083mm depending on ceiling height and desired hanging position. Excess chain is looped inside the ceiling canopy.
