Description

The Cromwell is a 3 light chandelier built around a circular iron frame with three candle-style arms extending from the centre, finished in hand-applied old bronze. Each arm holds a single E14 candle bulb (sold separately) on a turned stem with a shallow drip tray beneath. The frame hangs on heavy-gauge chain links from a matching old bronze canopy, giving the fitting a medieval workshop character.

Designed for dining tables, breakfast rooms and entrance halls where ceiling height allows a 440mm drop, the Cromwell provides ambient light from three evenly-spaced sources without filling the full width of a large room. The circular frame measures approximately 500mm diameter, making it proportional for tables seating four to six or for hallways 1.2-1.8m wide. The chain length is adjustable on installation to suit ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m.

The old bronze finish is applied by hand over forged iron, giving each chandelier slight tonal variation and surface texture that changes under different light conditions. The finish shows darker in the recesses of the metalwork and lighter on the raised edges, creating depth across the frame and arms. The heavy iron construction gives the fitting substantial weight and rigidity, preventing sway on the chain once installed.
