Description

The Corona is a wall light built around a curved white frosted glass diffuser held between polished chrome top and base mounts, with vertical frosted glass rods running between the two chrome bands. The fitting measures 232mm high by 210mm wide with a projection from the wall of approximately 100mm, making it compact enough for narrow hallways and landings where a deeper projection would intrude on circulation space.

Designed for hallway, landing, bathroom and bedroom installation, the Corona provides diffused ambient light through the combination of the main frosted glass panel and the vertical rod detail. The frosted glass softens the light source and reduces glare, while the vertical rods add visual texture to the fitting when lit. The compact width suits positions above side tables, beside mirrors, or flanking doorways in pairs.

The polished chrome mounts provide a reflective accent that works in both contemporary white interiors and more traditional schemes where chrome fittings are already present. The white frosted glass keeps the overall appearance neutral and pairs comfortably with white walls, grey walls and soft pastel colour schemes. The fitting accepts a standard bulb (sold separately, specification in table below) and can be paired with a dimmer switch where dimmable bulbs are fitted.

What bulb does the Corona take?

The fitting accepts a standard E27 or E14 bulb depending on the lampholder configuration (see Specification table for exact socket type). Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-10W LED bulb in 2700K-3000K warm white for hallway and bedroom use.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The Corona does not carry an IP rating in its standard configuration, so it should only be used in bathroom zones where no IP rating is required (typically Zone 3, more than 600mm from the bath or shower). If you need an IP-rated wall light for closer proximity to water, please search for IP44 or IP65 rated alternatives in our catalogue.

Can it be dimmed?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb you fit. If you install a dimmable LED bulb and pair it with a compatible LED dimmer switch, the Corona can be dimmed. The fitting itself does not restrict dimming.

Does it come with fixings for plasterboard walls?

The Corona includes standard wall fixings suitable for solid walls. If you are fitting to plasterboard, you may need to use plasterboard anchors or toggle fixings to ensure a secure mount, particularly given the projection from the wall.
