Description

The Citronic TU4-C is a four-channel UHF wireless microphone system built for stage performances, conferences, theatre and general vocal work. It combines two handheld transmitters with two bodypacks, so you can mix presenters, singers and hands-free use in a single setup. Each of the four channels is individually programmable, letting you set the carrier frequency, EQ, transmission power and even the display backlight colour so you can tell channels apart at a glance. The handheld transmitters use a dynamic capsule in a full metal housing, while the bodypacks come with both a neckband and a lavalier (lapel) microphone for flexibility.

Setup stays simple thanks to true diversity antennas (aerials) with an internal distro and an auto frequency sweep function that finds clear frequencies for you. Settings sync wirelessly to each transmitter over an infrared connection, so there is no need to fiddle with controls on the mic itself. The receiver is programmed from a front panel full colour TFT display using a rotary encoder, and each channel has its own backlit display that mirrors the matching transmitter. Twin BNC antenna connections sit at the rear, or move to the front panel with the supplied extension cables when the unit is 19-inch rack-mounted.

Operation runs license-free in the UK and EU on the 863-865MHz band, with additional channel 65 frequencies (823-832MHz) available under a PMSE license. Each channel offers an independent 7-band EQ, and outputs can be taken as individual balanced XLR feeds or as a single mixed jack output. Wireless range reaches up to 60m, and every transmitter runs on 2 x AA batteries, which are supplied. Frequencies are arranged in 8 groups of 8-16 carriers across the license-free and duplex gap bands.

The TU4-C runs four channels at the same time, in this case two handheld mics and two bodypacks. Each channel is individually programmable for frequency, EQ and power.

What outputs does the receiver have?

You can take individual balanced XLR outputs for each channel, or use a single mixed jack output to send all channels down one feed.

What is the wireless range?

The system offers up to 60m of range using true diversity antennas with internal distribution for a reliable signal.
