Description

The Citronic TU2-N is a true diversity UHF wireless microphone system with two individually programmable channels. Each channel syncs to its transmitter to set the carrier frequency, EQ, transmission power and even the display backlight colour, which makes it easy to tell channels apart during a busy setup. This dual set is supplied with two bodypack transmitters, each including both a neckband and a lavalier (lapel) microphone, so you can pick the fit that suits the job. Every channel offers a 7-band EQ for its own tone shaping, plus an auto frequency sweep function to find clear frequencies quickly.

Connection is flexible. You get individual XLR outputs for each channel or a single mixed jack output, so the receiver fits into small setups and larger rigs alike. Twin BNC antennas (aerials) connect at the rear, or to the front panel when 19-inch rack-mounted using the supplied BNC extension cables, and an internal distribution feeds both channels from one antenna pair. Settings are handled through a front panel full colour TFT display with a rotary encoder, while each channel's backlit display mirrors the reading on its transmitter and syncs wirelessly over an IR link, so there are fewer controls to fiddle with on the bodypack itself.

Operation runs license-free across the 863 to 865MHz band in the UK and EU. Additional channel 65 frequencies (823 to 832MHz) are available if you hold a PMSE license, giving more room in crowded environments. Each transmitter runs on two AA batteries, supplied in the box, with a working range of up to 60 metres. The TU-series suits stage performances, conferences, theatrical productions and general vocal duties where reliable, adaptable wireless is needed.

Frequently Asked

Do I need a license to use the TU2-N?

No, not for standard use. The 863 to 865MHz band is license-free in the UK and EU. The additional channel 65 frequencies (823 to 832MHz) do require a PMSE license if you choose to use them.

What microphones are included with the bodypacks?

Each bodypack transmitter comes with both a neckband microphone and a lavalier (lapel) microphone, so you can select whichever suits your application. All connections are fully balanced.

How many channels does this set have?

The TU2-N is a two-channel system with two bodypack transmitters. Each channel is programmed independently, including its own 7-band EQ and frequency settings.

How do the transmitters get their settings?

You program each channel on the receiver's front panel TFT display and rotary encoder. The settings then sync wirelessly to the matching transmitter over an IR link, so you don't need to adjust the bodypack directly.

What is the operating range?

The system offers a wireless range of up to 60 metres, subject to line of sight and local RF conditions.

How do the antennas connect for rack use?

The twin BNC antennas connect at the rear of the receiver, or you can route them to the front panel when 19-inch rack-mounted using the supplied BNC extension cables.
