Description

The Citronic S6J300 is a shielded balanced audio lead fitted with 6.3mm stereo TRS jack plugs at both ends. It measures 3 metres, giving you enough reach to connect mixers, active speakers, DI boxes and other studio or stage gear without the cable pulling tight. The balanced TRS design helps reject noise over longer runs, so your signal stays clean where a standard unbalanced lead might pick up hum or interference.

Build quality is where this lead earns its keep. The plugs are die-cast rather than moulded plastic, and the connections are machine-soldered for consistency. Inside the 6mm cable you get two conductors, each 20 strands of 0.1mm pure copper, with cotton reinforcement for strength. The outer jacket is a soft-grip rubberised material that resists tangling and feels good in the hand, whether you are coiling it down at the end of a set or routing it around a rack.

A TRS jack (tip-ring-sleeve) is the three-contact version of the familiar 6.3mm jack, sometimes called a quarter-inch jack in the US. It carries either a balanced mono signal or a stereo unbalanced signal, depending on how the equipment is wired, so check your gear before use. For live sound, home studios and general audio work, the S6J300 is a reliable, no-nonsense lead that should give you years of service.

Frequently Asked

How long is the S6J300 lead?

It is 3 metres long, which suits most connections between mixers, speakers and studio equipment.

What are TRS jack plugs used for?

TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) plugs carry a balanced mono signal or a stereo unbalanced signal. The balanced option helps reject noise over longer cable runs.

Is this the same as a quarter-inch jack?

Yes. The 6.3mm jack is known as a quarter-inch jack in the US. The TRS version has three contacts rather than the two on a standard mono jack.

What is the cable made from?

The cable has two conductors of 20-strand 0.1mm pure copper with cotton reinforcement, inside a 6mm rubberised anti-tangle jacket.

Are the plugs soldered by hand or machine?

The connections are machine-soldered, which gives consistent joints across the plugs. The plugs themselves are die-cast for durability.

Can I use this lead for stage and studio work?

Yes. The shielded balanced design and durable build make it suitable for live sound, home studios and general audio setups.
