Description

We built the Citronic RACK:8U to give your 19" audio equipment a safe home while it travels. This 8U flightcase (sometimes called a rack case) takes standard rack-mount gear such as amplifiers, mixers and effects units, holding everything securely inside a rigid shell. Heavy duty handles make it easier to lift and carry, and protective corner pieces guard against the knocks that come with life on the road.

The case is made from 9mm vinyl laminated plywood, a material chosen for its strength and its resistance to splitting. Every rivet is fitted with a washer, which spreads the load and stops the wood cracking around the fixings over time. Removable front and rear lids give you full access to your equipment from both sides, so you can reach cables and connections without pulling the whole rack out.

The RACK:8U sits within a wider family of Citronic flightcases, available in 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16U sizes. That range means you can match the case to the amount of gear you run, whether that is a small mobile setup or a larger fixed install that needs occasional moving.
