Description
The Citronic RACK:4S is a 4U flightcase built for mounting and moving 19" audio equipment. It gives your gear a solid home for transport between venues, studios or storage, with the shallow depth keeping the case compact for smaller units. If you regularly haul amplifiers, processors or mixers, this is a straightforward way to keep them protected on the road.
Construction is 9mm vinyl laminated plywood, with washers fitted on all the rivets to strengthen the joins and stop the wood from splitting over time. Heavy duty handles make lifting and carrying easier, while the protective corner pieces take the knocks that come with regular loading and unloading. Both the front and rear lids are removable, so you can access your equipment from either side or take the lids off entirely when the rack is set up and in use.
This case holds 4U of rack-mountable equipment (a rack unit, or U, is the standard 19" mounting measurement). The RACK:4S is one of several sizes in the range, which also covers 2, 3, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16U versions, so you can match the case to the amount of kit you need to carry. The shallow build suits shorter equipment where a full-depth case would be more than you need.

Frequently Asked
How much equipment does the RACK:4S hold?
It holds 4U of 19" rack-mountable equipment. One U is the standard rack unit height used to measure this type of gear.
What does 'shallow' mean for this case?
The shallow depth suits shorter equipment. If your units are longer, a full-depth case would give more clearance behind the mounting rails.
What is the case made from?
It is made from 9mm vinyl laminated plywood, with washers on all the rivets to strengthen the joins and protect the wood from splitting.
Can I remove the lids?
Yes. Both the front and rear lids are removable, so you can access your equipment from either side or run the rack with the lids off.
Are other sizes available?
Yes. The range covers 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16U versions, so you can pick the size that fits your kit.
Does it protect gear during transport?
It is built for transport, with heavy duty handles and protective corner pieces to guard against knocks during loading and moving.
