Description

We built the Citronic RACK:16U for anyone who needs to move 19" audio equipment safely from one place to another. It gives you 16U of rack space, so you can mount a good amount of gear and keep it protected while you travel. The case is made from 9mm vinyl laminated plywood, with washers fitted on all the rivets to strengthen the joints and stop the wood from splitting over time.

The build focuses on the practical things that matter when you are hauling kit around. Heavy duty handles make it easier to carry or load, and the protective corner pieces take the knocks that come with regular transport. Both the front and rear lids are removable, so you can get quick access to your equipment from either side and leave the lids off during a set if you prefer. This is the kind of case that keeps expensive gear safe on the road and in storage.

The RACK:16U is part of a wider range from Citronic, with cases available in 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16U versions. That means you can pick the size that suits your setup, whether you need room for a single processor or a full stack. The 19" mounting standard is the same one used across most professional audio and studio equipment, so your existing rack gear should fit straight in. In the US this same format is often called a rack flight case, but the sizing and fit are identical.
