Description
The Citronic PLX2000 is a 19" rackmount power amplifier built into a 2U chassis for permanent installs and mobile rigs alike. It delivers 2 x 700W into 4 Ohms and uses a class H architecture, which keeps power delivery efficient and reliable under load. Dual fan cooling helps the amp run steadily through long sessions without overheating.
Connections are straightforward. Balanced inputs come in via XLR sockets, and speaker outputs are provided on both 2 SPK connectors (Speakon-style) and 4mm binding posts, so you can wire it however your setup needs. The output stays stable down to 2 Ohms per side, and you can switch to bridge mode for high power mono operation into a 4 Ohm load. Front panel controls cover level for each channel, ground lift, mode and a switchable clip limiter to help protect your speakers.
Protection circuitry guards against short circuits, overload, DC and thermal issues, so the amp shuts things down before damage occurs. With a frequency response of 5Hz to 50kHz, total harmonic distortion of 0.05% and a damping factor above 400, the PLX2000 gives you clean, controlled output across the range. It runs from a standard 230Vac IEC mains supply and measures 482 x 453 x 88mm. This makes it a solid choice for PA hire, venues, bands and fixed sound systems that need dependable power in a compact rack space.

Frequently Asked
How much power does the PLX2000 deliver?
It delivers 2 x 700W into 4 Ohms in stereo. It can also be bridged to mono for higher power into a 4 Ohm load.
What is the lowest speaker impedance it supports?
The output is stable down to 2 Ohms per side in stereo mode, giving you flexibility with speaker loads.
What speaker connections does it have?
Speaker outputs are available on 2 SPK connectors and 4mm binding posts, so you can use either wiring method.
What inputs does the amplifier use?
Balanced inputs are provided via XLR sockets, suited to professional signal sources and long cable runs.
What is a clip limiter and can I switch it off?
The clip limiter helps prevent harsh clipping that can damage speakers. It is switchable, so you can enable or disable it as needed.
How much rack space does it take up?
It fits a standard 19" rack and takes up 2U of height. Full dimensions are 482 x 453 x 88mm.
