Description

The Citronic LM58-T is an additional clip-on transmitter for the LM58 wireless lavalier microphone system (171.858UK). It has an inbuilt omnidirectional microphone, so you clip it on and speak without needing to fit a separate lapel mic. If you already own the LM58 system and want to add a second voice, this is the part you need.

The main reason for adding a transmitter is two-way work. Up to two separate LM58-T transmitters can pair with a single receiver, which suits interviews and conversations where both people need to be heard clearly. The unit works on the 5.8GHz ISM band and gives a range of up to 60m, so you have room to move around a room or small stage. Its inbuilt rechargeable Li-ion battery runs for up to 5 hours on a charge, and the whole transmitter weighs just 31g, so it sits comfortably on a lapel or collar.

On the audio side, the internal microphone handles up to 100dBu SPL and covers a frequency response of 30Hz to 18kHz, with a 90dB dynamic range and a 102dB signal-to-noise ratio. The transmitter puts out 7dBm of power. At 55 x 45 x 24mm it stays discreet in use. A lavalier mic is also called a lapel or clip mic, and it does the same job here whichever term you use. This is a spare or additional part rather than a full kit, so you will need the LM58 receiver to use it.
