Description
The Citronic LM58 is an ultra compact wireless lavalier microphone system built around a miniature rechargeable transmitter and receiver. It runs on the license-free 5.8GHz ISM band, with all audio digitally encoded to avoid the noise you can get from some VHF or UHF systems. A lavalier mic is also known as a lapel or clip mic, and here the clip-on transmitter has an integral condenser microphone for hands-free presentation and broadcast work. There is also a 3.5mm microphone input jack, compatible with Chord and many other lavalier and headset mics.
The clip-on receiver has a 22 x 11mm colour display showing RF, audio signal and output level status. Output level is set using the +/- side buttons, which also toggle between stereo and mono when pressed together. By default the output is stereo, with the first paired transmitter on the left channel. You can add a second LM58 transmitter to the same receiver for two-person presentations, placing one microphone on the left channel and the other on the right. Up to four transmitters can operate in the same area at once, and multiple receivers can pair to a single transmitter or a pair.
Output is fed through a 3.5mm stereo socket, and both transmitter and receiver recharge via USB Type-C. Each unit measures 55 x 45 x 24mm and weighs 31g, so the whole system sits in one hand. The internal battery gives up to 5 hours of use and a range of up to 60m. With an omnidirectional pattern, 30Hz to 18kHz response and a 102dB signal to noise ratio, it suits online presenters, performers and lecturers who want a straightforward wireless setup.

Frequently Asked
Can I use two microphones at once?
Yes. You can pair a second LM58 transmitter to the same receiver for two-person use, with one mic on the left channel and the other on the right.
Does it use the built-in mic or an external one?
Both. The transmitter has an integral condenser microphone, and there is a 3.5mm input for connecting a lavalier or headset mic, including Chord and many other models.
How is the system powered and charged?
Both the transmitter and receiver have internal rechargeable Li-ion batteries and charge through their USB Type-C sockets. Battery life is up to 5 hours.
What frequency does the LM58 operate on?
It runs on the license-free 5.8GHz ISM band with digitally encoded audio, so no licence is required to use it.
What is the operating range?
The system has a maximum range of up to 60m in clear conditions.
How many systems can work in the same area?
Up to four transmitters can operate in the same area simultaneously, and receivers can pair to a single transmitter or a pair.
