Description

The Citronic DM15 is a handheld dynamic microphone built for vocal and karaoke use. It has a precision-machined metal body and a resilient dynamic capsule, so it stands up to regular handling and the odd knock. The unidirectional cardioid polar pattern picks up sound from the front while rejecting more of what comes from behind, which helps keep feedback down when you are working close to speakers.

A wide frequency response of 40Hz to 17kHz covers the range needed for clear speech and singing, and the 600 Ohm impedance suits standard microphone inputs on mixers and PA systems. A built-in on/off slide switch lets you mute the mic without reaching for the desk, useful for karaoke nights and general vocal work. Sensitivity is rated at -55dB, and the mic weighs 303g with a body measuring 170 x 50mm in diameter.

The DM15 comes with a 4.0m lead that connects XLR at the microphone end to a 6.3mm (quarter-inch) mono jack at the other, so it plugs straight into gear with a jack input. Note that this lead is unbalanced, which is worth keeping in mind for longer cable runs. An ABS carry case is included to keep the mic and lead together and protected between uses. It is a straightforward, practical choice for anyone who needs a dependable vocal mic without fuss.
