Description

The Citronic CUBA-18SA is an active subwoofer cabinet (US: powered sub) with a built-in amplifier, rated at 1200W rms. It houses a single high energy sub frequency driver driven by a fixed, DSP controlled class-D amplifier. That combination is set up to develop high sound pressure output, reproducing heavy dynamics accurately and adding body to a full range PA system. It works well matched with higher output full range cabinets from the Citronic range, or as the low end for any setup that needs fast, powerful sub content.

The cabinet itself is built from 15mm MDF and finished in a durable textured polyurea coating, with a powder coated steel grille protecting the driver. Carry handles are recessed into each side, so two people can move it comfortably between gigs. A 35mm pole mount socket sits on the top panel, letting you fit a top cabinet directly above the sub to keep your stack tidy and save floor space.

Power comes in through a standard IEC connector and the unit accepts 100-240Vac at 50/60Hz, so it runs on UK mains and travels well. The driver presents an 8 Ohm impedance and the class-D amplifier stage is DSP controlled, keeping the output tight without a separate rack amp or crossover to carry. It's a practical choice for mobile DJs, small venues and hire companies that want reliable low end from a single self-contained box.

No. The amplifier is built into the cabinet, so you connect your source and mains power directly. There's no need for a separate power amp or outboard crossover.
