Description

The Citronic CUBA-18S is a high power handling passive subwoofer cabinet built for punchy, powerful low frequencies. It uses a single high energy sub frequency driver rated at 1200W rms, making it a solid foundation for live sound, mobile DJ rigs and permanent installs where you need weight at the bottom end. The 8 Ohm impedance and 2 x parallel SPK sockets make it straightforward to wire into your existing setup and link additional cabinets in a chain.

The cabinet is made from 15mm MDF and finished in a durable textured polyurea coating, with a powder coated steel grille protecting the driver. A carry handle is built into each side of the cabinet, so two people can move it comfortably. On top you'll find a 35mm pole mount socket (also called a top hat) that lets you fit a full-range top cabinet directly above the sub, keeping your footprint small and your stack tidy.

The CUBA-18S is well matched for systems using CUBA passive PA speakers, though it works just as well paired with other high output full-range speakers. As a passive cabinet it needs an external amplifier, which gives you the freedom to size your power to the room and the job. If you're building a modular PA that can grow over time, this sub gives you the low end without locking you into a fixed configuration.
