Description
The Citronic CUBA-12 is a passive full-range speaker cabinet built for professional sound reinforcement. Its wooden MDF enclosure is finished in a hard-wearing polyurea coating, with a powder-coated steel grille protecting the drivers. Inside, a custom-designed high power LF driver works alongside an efficient HF compression or dome tweeter, and the tuned enclosure ties them together for a balanced output across the frequency range.
The rear panel carries either 2 x Speakon connectors or a single Speakon with 4mm binding posts, depending on the model, so you can link additional speakers into the same run. Two side handles make the cabinet easier to move and position, while a 35mm pole-mount socket lets you fit it onto a speaker stand or pole (also called a stand tube in some setups). Two different bevels on the rear allow angled placement at ground level or when the cabinet is suspended, and multiple M8 flying points are inset for rigging and arraying.
At 8 Ohms, the CUBA-12 pairs well with Citronic PLX, D and H-series amplifiers, giving you the headroom needed for high power work. It suits a wide range of professional situations, from live music and DJ sets to fixed installs and hire stock. The passive design keeps the amplification separate, so you can match the cabinet to the amp that fits your rig and scale the system up as needed.

Frequently Asked
Is the CUBA-12 active or passive?
It is a passive cabinet, so it needs an external amplifier. We recommend Citronic PLX, D or H-series amps for the best match.
What is the impedance?
The CUBA-12 runs at 8 Ohms. Check this against your amplifier's output ratings before wiring up a system.
What connectors are on the rear?
Depending on the model, the rear has either 2 x Speakon or a single Speakon with 4mm binding posts. This lets you link onto additional speakers in the same run.
Can I mount it on a speaker stand?
Yes. There is a 35mm pole-mount socket for stand mounting, plus two side handles for carrying and positioning.
Can the CUBA-12 be flown or arrayed?
Yes. Multiple M8 flying points are inset on the cabinet, and two rear bevels allow angled placement at ground level or when suspended.
What is the cabinet made from?
The enclosure is polyurea coated MDF with a powder-coated steel grille, which helps it stand up to regular use and transport.
