Description
The Citronic CM15A is an active wedge monitor (called a stage monitor or floor wedge in some regions) built into a texture-coated wooden cabinet with a minimal footprint. The main driver handles low frequencies with the help of two bass ports, while a concentric titanium tweeter sits within the main driver for aligned high frequencies. An arched powder-coated steel grille gives heavy duty protection during stage work, and it forms two side handle holes so the cabinet is easy to carry.
Power comes from an inbuilt class-D bi-amplifier rated at 350Wrms, giving each wedge enough output for clear sound in high SPL situations. The 35mm pole mount socket and M8 flying points mean it also works on its own as a compact PA cabinet. A DSP section offers five EQ profiles: Normal, DJ, Voice, Live and Flat, so you can match the program material and the room you are working in. Alongside a mic/line input and a separate line input, there is a Bluetooth receiver, which makes it useful as a musician's practice amp.
Connections cover Mic/Line on XLR and jack, Line on XLR, jack and RCA (phono), plus Bluetooth. Outputs include a 6.35mm headphone jack and a mix out on male XLR, so you can link cabinets or feed another device. The concentric HF driver is a 44mm (1.75") titanium compression unit, the impedance is 4 Ohms and the whole unit weighs 9.87kg. It suits stage foldback, keyboard and electronic drum amplification, and gives a good level of output for its size.
