Description
The Citronic CDM8:4 USB is a 14-input, four-channel DJ mixer built for mobile work and fixed installations. It fits a standard 19" rack at 4U, so you can slot it into a case or console alongside the rest of your kit. Each music channel has its own gain control and 3-band EQ, giving you room to balance sources before they hit the main mix.
At the heart of the mixer is a 45mm rail glide crossfader that you can replace when it wears, with a defeat switch and channel assign so you decide which sources sit on each side. Remote fader starts on the stereo channels let you trigger playback from compatible decks, and there is a cue mix fader for lining up the next track. Connections cover 2 phono, 6 line, 2 USB in/out, one 3.5mm jack for patching in an MP3 player, and three microphone inputs. The USB in/out handles playback and recording straight from a computer.
The three mic inputs make this a solid choice for karaoke as well as DJ sets, with a DJ mic plus two vocal mic inputs, each fitted with Hi/Lo EQ and a shared internal digital delay or FX loop for a touch of vocal effect. A 12Vdc BNC output powers a console light (also called a gooseneck lamp) up to 5W. The unit runs on 115/230Vac via IEC and weighs 4.06kg, so it stays portable for gigs on the move.
