Description

The Citronic CASA-15B is a passive subwoofer cabinet built for portable PA and sound reinforcement work. Each cabinet is made from 15mm MDF with a hard-wearing texture polyurea paint finish, and the compact, lightweight design keeps the footprint small so it fits into busy setups and travels easily between venues.

A 15" front-loaded sub driver sits behind a protective steel grille, handling 500W RMS to deliver powerful low-end transients and add warmth to your sound system. Two side carry handles make lifting and positioning straightforward, and a 35mm pole mount socket lets you fit a mounting pole above the sub. The 15" and 18" models also include mounting points for castors, so you can wheel the cabinet where you need it.

Connection is via two Speakon (SPK) sockets on the rear panel, fed from the output of a power amplifier. You can run the cabinet with the 120Hz low pass filter (12dB/oct) or take a direct input, giving you flexibility over how you route your signal. The impedance is 8 Ohms. The CASA-15B is designed to match the wider CASA range of PA cabinets, and works just as well as part of any high-energy setup that needs solid bass.

Is the CASA-15B active or passive?

It is a passive subwoofer, so you need an external power amplifier to drive it. Output from the amp connects via Speakon leads to the rear panel sockets.

How do I connect the subwoofer?
