Description

The Chord XU-HTX is a replacement handheld microphone transmitter for the Chord XU wireless UHF system. If you've added extra channels or need to swap out a damaged or lost unit, this gives you a straight replacement that pairs with your existing XU receiver. It works on carrier frequencies of 823-832MHz and 863-865MHz, keeping it in line with the rest of the range.

Setup is handled through infra-red (I.R.) sync, so you programme the transmitter directly from the XU receiver rather than fiddling with manual settings on the handheld itself. Once synced, the two talk to each other and you're ready to go. The built-in capsule is a dynamic cardioid, which picks up sound from the front and rejects more of what comes from the sides and rear. That makes it a sensible choice for live vocals, presentations and general handheld use where you want to keep unwanted noise down.

The transmitter runs on 2 x AA batteries, which are not supplied, so it's worth having a set to hand before your first use. It measures 258mm long with a 47mm diameter barrel and weighs 247g without batteries fitted, so it sits comfortably in the hand without feeling heavy over a long session. As a like-for-like replacement, it slots into an XU system you already own with no need to change your receiver or other transmitters.
